Liquid Emycine

Emicina® Líquida is a broad-spectrum antibiotic in a sterile, stable, ready-to-use injectable solution; useful in the treatment of susceptible infections in cattle, swine, sheep, and goats.

FORMULA

Each ml contains: Oxytetracycline HCl: 50 mg, Vehicle q.s.p: 1 ml

DOSAGE

CATTLE

Cattle: beef producers and non-lactating dairy cattle (dry cows)

• 5 mg/kg (1 mL of Emicina® Líquida per 10 kg of body weight), intramuscularly every 24 hours for 3 days.

FATTENING PIGS

• 6.6 - 11 mg/kg (1.3 to 2.2 mL of Emicina® Líquida per 10 kg of body weight), intramuscularly, every 24 hours for three days, not exceeding a total of 4 consecutive days.

SHEEP AND GOATS  (meat producers)

• 6.6 - 11 mg/kg (1.3 to 2.2 mL of Emicina® Líquida per 10 kg of body weight), intramuscularly or intravenously, every 24 hours for three days.

WARNINGS

When using the intramuscular route in adult cattle, do not apply more than 10 mL per injection site. In the case of pigs, do not administer more than 5 mL per injection site. The volume administered per site should be reduced according to the age and body size to 1 - 2 mL in small animals, such as calves, lambs, goats, and young pigs.

Withdrawal period: Cattle, goats, and sheep for meat production: minimum 22 days prior to slaughter. When administered within 30 days prior to slaughter, muscle discoloration may occur. Swine: 26 days. Do not use in calves to be processed as veal. Do not use in lactating dairy cattle.

Store in a cool place. Keep out of reach of children and domestic animals.
