Maxflor L.A.

Broad-spectrum antibiotic for use in beef cattle and swine.

For the treatment of respiratory infections caused by bacteria such as Mannheimia haemolytica, P. multocida, Haemophilus somnus, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, diarrhea syndrome caused by Escherichia coli, Salmonella spp, bovine infectious pododermatitis associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum, Bacteroides melaninogenicus, Bacteroides nodosus as well as in bovine infectious keratoconjunctivitis caused by Moraxella bovis and other diseases caused by bacteria susceptible to the effect of Florfenicol.

• Beef cattle and swine.

FORMULA

Each 1 ml contains:

Florfenicol ........................ 400 mg

Excipient q.s. ...................... 1 ml

DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATION

Beef cattle (intramuscular route): Administer a dose of 1 ml/20 kg of body weight, equivalent to 20 mg/kg, and repeat after 48 hours. 

Beef cattle (subcutaneous route): Administer a dose of 1 ml/10 kg of body weight, equivalent to 40 mg/kg as a single dose.

Swine (intramuscular route): Administer 1 ml/26.7 kg of body weight, equivalent to 15 mg/kg, and repeat after 48 hours.

ADMINISTRATION ROUTE

Cattle: intramuscular and subcutaneous.

Swine: intramuscular.

WARNINGS

Withdrawal period:

Cattle treated intramuscularly: 28 days after the last treatment.

Cattle treated subcutaneously: 39 days.

Swine: 10 days after the last treatment.

Not recommended for use in lactating dairy cattle.

Store at room temperature protected from direct sunlight, maximum 30°C.

Keep out of reach of children and pets. 

The solution may change color to a more intense yellow without affecting its efficacy.

Dispose of empty containers or residual content according to current environmental regulations.
