Selenie

A restorative and stimulant of reproductive function based on Selenium and Vitamin E for use in cattle and swine.

For the treatment of Selenium and Vitamin E deficiency syndrome and to improve weight gain in recently weaned calves.

For white muscle disease and retained placenta in dairy cattle.

To stimulate reproductive functions in cattle and swine.

Route of administration: Intramuscular or subcutaneous.

Formula:

Each 1 ml contains:

Sodium Selenite ……………………………… 10.95 mg

(equivalent to 5 mg of Selenium)

Vitamin E …………………………………………. 50 mg

Excipient q.s.p. …………………………………... 1 ml

Dosage:

• Cattle (beef and dairy): 1 to 2 ml/90 kg.
• Breeding bulls: 1 ml/100 kg.
• Adult sows: 1 ml/100 kg.

Single dose, treatment can be repeated after 4 months.

Warnings

• Withdrawal period for meat: 30 days.
• No withdrawal period for milk.
• Selenium can cause toxic symptoms when administered simultaneously with diets high in this element.
