Butafenil Compound
Description:
Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antirheumatic. Acts against musculoskeletal pain in situations of inflamed tissues such as: muscles, ligaments, tendons, joint fascia, and synovial sheaths. In spinal column injuries due to paralysis that occurs in post-partum cows due to radicular nerve compressions near the intervertebral discs.
FORMULA:
Each mL contains:
Phenylbutazone 200 mg
Sodium salicylate 50 mg
Vehicle, c.b.p. 1 mL.
DOSAGE:
Horses: 5-10 ml / 450 kg body weight (equivalent to 1 -2 g), every 24 hours for a maximum of 5 days. Cattle: 20 - 30 ml/day Goats, sheep, and pigs: 10 ml every 24 hours Dogs and cats: 0.11 ml/kg body weight/every 8 hours, do not exceed 4 ml/animal/day. In dogs, limit to 2 consecutive days intravenously and continue with oral medication.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE:
Very slow intravenous.
USE IN:
Cattle, horses, goats, sheep, pigs, dogs, cats.
WARNINGS:
Do not administer to horses intended for human consumption. Do not consume meat from treated animals within 8 days of the last application. Do not consume milk until 4 milkings after the last application. Do not inject subcutaneously. Do not administer to animals with cardiac, renal, hepatic and/or hematological damage. This product is for veterinary use only. Use sterile material when applying. Keep out of reach of children. Store in a cool, dry place, away from sunlight. Keep at a temperature between 15° and 30°C.
