Description:
It is indicated for the treatment and prophylaxis of calcium and mineral metabolic disorders affecting: Cattle (dairy and beef): rickets, hypocalcemia (milk fever), grass tetany, stress states, acetonemia (pregnancy toxemia), osteomalacia, and cramps. Horses not intended for human consumption: rickets, hypocalcemia (hypocalcemic tetany), grass tetany, stress states, and cramps. Sheep (meat): rickets, hypocalcemia (milk fever), acetonemia (pregnancy toxemia), grass tetany, stress states, and cramps. Goats (dairy and meat): rickets, hypocalcemia (milk fever), acetonemia (pregnancy toxemia), grass tetany, stress states, and cramps. Dogs: rickets, hypocalcemia (puerperal tetany, eclampsia), osteomalacia, and cramps.
FORMULA: Each 100 ml contains: Calcium gluconate 26 g, Anhydrous dextrose 8 g, Boric acid 5.2 g, Magnesium hypophosphite 1.46 g, Nicotinamide (Vit. B3) 100 mg, Thiamine (Vit. B1) 24 mg, Pyridoxine (Vit. B6) 20 mg, Riboflavin (Vit. B2) 12 mg, DL- isoleucine 8 mg, L-Arginine HCL 8 mg, L- Histidine HLC 5.6 mg, L-methionine 4.8 mg, D-panthenol 1.2 mg, Vehicle q.s.p. 100 ml.
DOSAGE:
- Cattle (beef and dairy) and horses: 200 to 500 ml.
- Sheep (meat) and goats (meat and dairy): 15 to 30 ml.
- Dogs: 5 to 10 ml.
ADMINISTRATION ROUTE: Slow intravenous, deep intramuscular, or subcutaneous.
STORAGE:
- Store in a cool, dry place at a temperature between 15 and 30 °C.
- Protect from direct sunlight.
- Dispose of by incineration.
WARNINGS:
- For intravenous administration, 100 ml should be administered slowly (15 to 20 minutes).
- The dose can be divided, half by IV route and the other half by IM or SC route.
- All salts administered intravenously can promote the presence of shock or cardiac block, particularly in horses; use the IM route in more diluted solutions, warm the product to body temperature. Do not administer in combination with Sulfa drugs.
- Check heart rate before application, maximum 70 per minute during the administration of any Calcium.
- In case of cardiac arrhythmia, sweating, tearing, polypnea, and muscle spasms, immediately stop the application and continue later more slowly when the animal has returned to normal physiological constants.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
- Do not administer in combination with Sulfa drugs.
