Ceftio-Zoo Plus

Broad-spectrum antimicrobial indicated for the treatment of diseases caused by germs susceptible to ceftiofur such as: Swine: Acts in porcine respiratory disease associated with: Actinobacillus (Haemophilus) pleuropneumoniae, P. multocida, Salmonella choleraesuis and S. Suis type 2. Cattle: It is indicated for bovine respiratory disease associated with: Mannheimia spp. P. haemolytica, P. multocida and Haemophilus somnus; acts in interdigital necrobacillosis (foot rot), associated with Fusobacterium necrophorum and Bacteroides melaninogenicus; and acts in metritis (0 to 14 days post-calving) associated with bacteria susceptible to ceftiofur.

DOSAGE

• Swine: 1-3 ml per 50 kg of weight (equivalent to 1 to 3 mg of Ceftiofur per kg of weight), every 24 h, for 3-5 days.
• Cattle: 1-2 ml per 50 kg of weight (equivalent to 1 to 2 mg of ceftiofur per kg of weight), every 24 h, for 3-5 days.

ADMINISTRATION ROUTE: Swine: Intramuscular, Cattle: Intramuscular or subcutaneous.

PRESENTATIONS: 100 ml, 250 ml.

WARNINGS

Withdrawal period: Meat: 48 hours. Milk: 0 days, under FDA established standards, when used for problems not involving the udder. When used for mastitis treatments, discard milk from affected quarters for 4 milkings after the last application. Milk from healthy quarters has a withdrawal period of 2 milkings, especially when industrialized under the zero antibiotic residue standard. Shake the product well before use. Once opened, use within 14 days. Keep in a cool place protected from light, at less than 25 °C. Do not freeze. Keep out of reach of children and/or domestic animals. Dispose of empty and/or leftover containers according to the ecological regulations of the region.
